She hunts the possibilities of a tender construction through deconstruction, always making certain to leave a light on down the hall.

I love to make work that leaves one person smiling and the next grimacing. I am always chasing moments that offer both/and through the lens I've come to refer to as "CRONCHH". CRONCHH allows both myself and the viewer to feel two or more things at once, where two or more disparate things meet up in some kind of combination/collage/car crash. Think of a blazing sunset over an abandoned pool, M&Ms on a pizza, sudden death on your birthday, or a crisp Diet Coke inside the belly of Death Valley.
Where do you find inspiration?Crushed and glinting garbage in the sun, rivers of light shimmering inside pools, what I swear must be tinsel inside the heads of palm trees on sunny days, blood-soaked-everything on a Final Girl who just found vengeance, memories that live in the happysad part of my heart, entire strip malls/shopping malls nearly out of business but holding on for dear life, dancing on Saturn, recalling the indoor/outdoor playground equipment of the 90s from memory, swimming laps in silence peppered with gasps.
What would you do with $25,000?First, I would be tremendously grateful - this is beyond life changing money for my practice, my work, and myself. I would use these funds for supplies, as well as the foundation for my forthcoming small business, consisting of making and selling custom works of art centering around the themes of horror, pop culture, liminal spaces, personal memory, and food. I will create these works utilizing an array of mixed media including craft, collage, painting, sculpture, relief, ceramics, and writing.
