Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

That’s a tough one—asking an artist that is like asking a parent to choose their favorite child. As my practice has evolved, I’ve found myself drawn to creating worlds—immersive spaces shaped by pure imagination. In a time when reality can feel increasingly heavy and displacing, I want my work to offer a place to escape, to reconnect, and to evoke a sense of feeling that lifts the spirit and restores something positive within.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in everything—I could design around a trash can if I had to. My mind is overflowing with ideas, far more than time allows. Often it comes as a sudden feeling, an emotional spark, almost like a download. When that energy hits, I can’t ignore it—I have to translate it into something visual.

What would you do with $25,000?

Part of me wonders—any chance Johnny Depp would sell his Hollywood “castle” on Sweetzer (my neighbor) for that? I know… pure fantasy. I’ve just always wanted to see inside that house—not because of the actor, but because of its history. And I have a real obsession with turrets. Back in 2018, I even created a piece called Turret Affair. The dream. The reality? I’d invest it in a fully kitted-out van—so I can transport large-scale works, hit the road, and travel across America exhibiting my art.
