I love to create art because it lets me express my feelings and thoughts through pigment and colors. It lets me tell a story.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like all mediums of art but my favorite is acrylic on canvas. The way I can blend the colors to create a landscape or a scene right out of my head, is just beautiful. I can pour out all of my thoughts onto a single canvas and make something that makes people feel with just some brush strokes . It just makes me so happy to paint.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from all forms of life. Whether it’s my own experiences or something I feel is important . I usually paint about very dark subjects and turn them into art pieces that make a person think about the world they live in. I want to make a difference one painting at a time. I also draw inspiration from the interactions i have everyday turning them into abstract paintings that show my feelings and emotions. Making them feel like a place someone has been to before.
What would you do with $25,000?I would give it to my grandparents. They have been there for me since day one. They were there when my mom fell into addiction and when my dad decided I was to much to handle. They took me in without a single thought. I want to repay there kindness in any way I can. And I want to give them the retirement they lost when they took me in. They deserve the world and I feel like 25k would help them live more comfortably.
