I draw heavily from symbology with a focus on the human form. I try to elevate the pieces I make to be iconic, telling a narrative with no words.
Where do you find inspiration?Sometimes a gesture or a suggestion of a figure is enough to start a piece, but my inspiration very frequently comes from the human condition, and how we are able to achieve transcendence, while still remaining relatable to others. There is horror, beauty, grace, tragedy, and still a droll sense of humour that I try to capture.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would be able to finally invest in a platform to bring my art to others in the form of prints and merchandise. I would be able to purchase supplies to try new mediums and continue to thrive as a traditional artist in a world full of digital work. I also have always had a dream to create several books containing my work, all with different themes. This funding would not just allow me to continue the work that I already do; it would be a life changing experience.
