I’m drawn to creating period-inspired portraits that blend historical elegance with modern identity. I love capturing people in styles influenced by eras like Victorian, Baroque, and Renaissance, using rich textures, dramatic lighting, and timeless details. My goal is to make each subject feel like they belong in history while still preserving exactly who they are; their face, their presence, and their story.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in history, especially the elegance and storytelling of past eras like Victorian and Baroque. Old paintings, vintage fashion, and Victorian interiors spark a lot of my ideas. I’m also inspired by real people, their faces, expressions, and energy, and how I can place them into a timeless setting while still keeping their identity intact. Everyday life, emotions, and personal stories all play a role in shaping my work.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were awarded $25,000, it would change my daughter’s future and mine. As a single mother raising a child with behavioral challenges while working full time and in school, it’s hard. This would help me get her the support she truly needs and continue my education. I also want to open a low cost/free art studio where children can feel safe, express themselves, and stay on a positive path. Art isn’t just passion for me, it’s a lifeline I want to share.
