I create art for the love of bringing emotion to people. I make worlds and characters so people can wonder about the stories they tell.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Most of my work is digital or acrylic, but for the types of work I make, creating characters for people takes the cake! To bring their creation to life and see the joy they have after getting a piece of their imagination physically in front of them is what makes me feel alive. I also enjoy photography and creating theological and aquatic-themed pieces, as they are what resonate with me the most.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from a myriad of places, but more often than not, it comes from daydreams and moments where I'm half asleep and thinking of impossible, fantastical things. Though when I really need to think, or am in a slump, I go to where I can sit by the ocean or a nearby lake or river and hear the water move. It lets me take in the little things around me, and that always gives me an idea for an art piece.
What would you do with $25,000?The prize money would go towards building a better life with my husband. We would be able to take the step towards getting a home that's actually ours, and start IVF treatments.
