I make art to express difficult emotions I don’t fully grasp, and create images that fill in for the words I can’t put to them.

I love creating quiet, intimate portraits of people. This subject allows me to impart my emotions into my artwork. Recently, I’ve found that graphite drawings have achieved the mood I’m looking for in my art the most.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature has always been the best place for it. I’ve seen plants, water, leaves, and bugs with different color palettes, shapes, and textures that have stuck with me and made its way into my art. I also look towards artists in history for their fundamental choices in their pieces, which gives me a better understanding on how to arrange my ideas on paper.
What would you do with $25,000?With this money I would be able to put myself through graduate school without worrying about going into student debt. I have been planning to get my masters in fine arts for years so I can one day teach art at the college level and help aid more students in achieving their visions in painting and drawing.
