It is a way for me to express my creativity, how I am feeling, and to relieve stress. Art is both an extension and a big part of who I am.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to work with oil paints, sometimes acrylic, my favorite type of art to create is surrealism, realism, and Impressionism, or a mix of all. But, if I am honest I love to dapple in all types of art styles and mediums. I also love to sketch with graphite and pens.
Where do you find inspiration?I frequently find inspiration in every day events, whether it’s a conversation that provokes emotion, or a tree that I’ve passed by. Sometimes an idea pops into my head and if the idea envelopes my mind enough, I move to execute it asap even if it means pausing a long term project. Much of the inspiration I find comes from my imagination (as you can imagine with surrealism), or by finding likeness in everyday items and living beings that don’t necessarily have a relation to one another.
What would you do with $25,000?I would really like to be able to use this money to follow my passion of art and poetry. Promoting my art, and the art of other artist like me. Aside from that I would set some money aside for my young daughter and her future, and I would like to donate to others in need.
