Where do you find inspiration?Urban environments beg for an answer, a response to what is lacking; simplicity in chaos, nature in our constructions. Being in the beauty of unadulterated nature, I find inspiration, yes: but the delicacy required to accommodate the raw power of the ocean, the mountains, the earth at large is a dance that I am in wonder of. I find inspiration where I can service to fill and amplify a moment, a space, an experience.
What would you do with $25,000?Upon my receiving, this gift would facilitate a future need devoted to the arts. To create a space for art that is more experiential, more engaging, more personal than what is generally available in our world. It would be an action to meet the value of art with democracy. Art is for everyone, even if they don’t know it.
