I get my inspiration from everyday life on the job sites where I work as a steam fitter in New Jersey. The pipes, heavy steel beams, welding sparks, and raw industrial energy always catch my eye. What most people see as just construction, I see as sculpture. I channel that into my metal art, using scrap metal and materials found around the job. With the $25,000, I would finally rent a dedicated studio space in New Jersey so I can start fabricating the large-scale metal sculptures I’ve been dreaming about.
