I love creating wildlife art because animals carry a clarity we often lose, and I aim to reflect that while supporting conservation.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I focus on wildlife art, especially birds and animals of the American West. Living near Yellowstone has shaped my work, and I'm drawn to capturing animals in a way that feels emotionally present.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in animals themselves--their awareness, instincts, and the way they experience the world without distraction. Observing wildlife reminds me of a kind of clarity that I try to reflect in my work.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in advancing my technique, upgrading my materials, and immersing myself in wildlife environments for direct observation. With that foundation, I want to create a body of work that not only elevates my practice but also supports conservation through awareness and potential partnerships, using art to inspire a stronger connection between people and wildlife. I will also donate a portion of proceeds to wildlife conservation efforts.
