I primarily create printmaking-based work, especially monotypes that combine drawing, layering, and material experimentation. I work between print and textile processes, often incorporating natural materials, hand labor, and unconventional surfaces. I’m interested in how prints can hold texture, memory, and gesture through process rather than fixed image.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from nature, movement, and everyday observation. I collect plants, textures, and color relationships from my surroundings and translate them through print processes. My cultural background also informs how I see material, pattern, and repetition, shaping how I build layered compositions over time.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in printmaking equipment, materials, and studio infrastructure to support both my practice and community-based work. I’m developing a shared printmaking space in San Diego, and this funding would help expand access, teaching opportunities, and resources for artists and communities I currently work with in San Diego, Tijuana, Los Angeles, and beyond.
