I have always enjoyed studying & painting in a wide variety of styles. My real passion is working with oils. I am also proficient with watercolors. Painting on Maui I have continued a style that possesses a feeling of what a joy it is to live on such a wonderful island. I have heard this style described as Van Gogh meets Kandinsky. I also love to experiment and create paintings unlike any other.
Where do you find inspiration?My landscapes/seascapes are all inspired by living in Hawaii. First on the Big Island then 30 years on Maui. Picasso, Cezanne, Brach, Gris & Kandinsky all had a strong influence in the way I approach abstracts. My latest abstracts have been my desire to create something never seen before showcasing what is possible.
