I create works that are an expression of feeling and emotion. I love sharing with others works that are both unique and universal.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Anything that flows! I paint, spray paint or use pastels to create canvas, clothing or tiles. I love using mixed media in my pieces and often my work translates well to clothing and so I have started a fashion line as well. I love seeing the work on canvas come to life and then be able to blend that with a love of fashion. Art that is both beautiful, flowing, uplifting and creates feeling.
Where do you find inspiration? It was a wonderful PBS documentary on Di Vinci that inspired me to begin painting. His soft layered technique and his willingness to cast aside a canvas if he wasn’t happy with it made me realize that even he had a lot of trial and error. He had benefactors who believed in his talent and the time to hone his craft. I thought, he’s just a regular guy who was incredibly curious and got the chance to foster that. What if I dedicated myself to my own talents more and was open to having talent?
What would you do with $25,000?New England Parkinson’s Ride bc my parents have volunteered there for the last decade and I know it’d mean a lot to them to be able to give more. American Wild Horses.org for our niece who has worked hard lobbying to bring attention to this important issue in Washington and to ACLU for the work they do fighting to protect civil liberties. So I would split the money three ways.
