Painting is my passion. My inner being is opened and uplifted. Creation is rewarding and seeing the smiles it brings to others a real joy.

Receive Text UpdatesAbstract painting. I apply my pigments not in a pre determined design or concept but applying paint intuitively allowing imagery to emerge organically as my brush comes into contact with the canvas and color to materialize into form. Applying different degrees of pressure with the brush will reinforce certain contours. Chance effects are controlled by my skill and knowledge of the medium. As a result, the observers imagination is opened and left with a wealth of possible interpretations.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration through nature and attending other artist exhibitions. The conversations with them are critical to my growth. Sometimes new ideas are born out of these interactions with my contemporaries. I love reading about the old masters stories. Their journeys, development, and successes inspire me. If an old master asked me what can you bring to the abstract table Ken, I would answer. To bring vivid color, depth and name the work that fits the image. That is my core conviction.
What would you do with $25,000?I would help with some of my sons college education bill. He has his masters degree and now needs funds for a one year tuition this fall for attaining his teaching certificate for music education and performance. He has a high school teaching position waiting for him when he receives his teaching certificate. The struggle paying for painting supplies ie: canvas, paints, brushes and the most expensive aspect for an artist are having the works framed. Funds will be utilized for this as well.
