I create images inviting viewers to interpret their own story, infused with biblical themes rooted in my Christian faith.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My preferred art blends mixed-media painting with occasional sculpture, using form and color to create visually engaging work. Influenced by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Edward Degas, my paintings add a tactile element, inviting viewers to physically connect with and experience the narrative behind each piece.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw most of my inspiration from the stories of the Bible and the quiet, overlooked objects I come across in everyday life. A passing cloud, a line in a song, the way light hits a surface—those small, often unnoticed details stay with me. I’m especially drawn to the subtle rhythms and hidden intricacies of nature, things you don’t always see at first glance but feel over time. Those moments shape how I create, giving my work a sense of reflection, meaning, and connection to something deeper.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d invest in a dedicated studio space and quality materials to deepen my mixed-media work. I’d build new small series rooted in biblical themes and everyday moments, blending painting and sculpture. I’d also document the process, share it online, and host a local showcase to connect with the community and grow a consistent body of meaningful, accessible work.
