From the imagination and on into creation, art is the way I honor the journey of life and inspire others to do the same.

My favorite art must move and evoke deep feeling—something you can stare at for hours and always discover something new, like a beloved film. I thrive on multi-medium exploration, from painting and wood cutouts to collage quilts and fabric-mâché. As an art therapist, I also love the 'art of the experience,' co-creating with others through environmental prompts to honor the journey of life and transform imagination into reality.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspirations that speak to my heart guide my work. The “soul people” (infinity-shaped figures) come from how I see people in dreams. My large wooden flowers began when a client wanted a striking, photo-worthy event piece. Women inspire me deeply—my mom led me to quilting, and I explore the female form through fabric-mâché bodices, body press painting, and goddess forms that are sometimes created in collaboration with other women.
What would you do with $25,000?The Space Place is a decade-long labor of love—a multi-artist exploration of self-discovery. Since 2012, I’ve collaborated with 50 artists to blend storytelling, illustration, and interactive tools that invite readers to see themselves through a new lens. My goal is to secure the right marketing and editing partnership to finally share this transformative experience with the world.
