I create art out of joy, to communicate, grow, and gain a sense of understanding, with the hope of leaving something behind.

My artistic practice lives at the intersection of graphic realism, street art, and vintage comics. Guided by Afro Modernism, I embrace earth tones and organic forms throughout my creative process. I’m inspired by scale and repetition, crafting mixed-media work primarily in acrylic. At the core of my work is a celebration of powerful subjects with brown skin. Through my art, I honor beauty, resilience, and identity, inviting viewers to see the world through a new lens.
Where do you find inspiration? My work is fueled by the cadence of hip-hop, reggae, Afrobeats, and punk, yet balanced by the silence of nature. I am deeply influenced by the aesthetics of pottery and plants. Caring for over 30 plants at home serves as a daily reminder to practice patience. Their organic shapes and colors are woven into everything I create. To clear my head, I go off-roading for tranquility. Beyond pop culture, I look to sports and ancient artifacts such as the Olmec heads and Egyptian structures.
What would you do with $25,000?Having worked for every dollar I’ve ever earned, I view a sum like this as a tool for growth rather than a windfall. I’ll make some long-term investments. I will reinvest in my career by acquiring additional tools and strengthening my visibility. In the creative world, being noticed is just as important as the work itself. A portion will be donated to “IMFTO” at OCAD University. This project empowers youth through education and industry mentorship.
