Art is the way I have always expressed myself when I could not find the right words. I just love creating.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create art to make people feel something real or something unexpected. I’m drawn to work that feels human, imperfect, and honest. Working in three dimensions gives my art presence, like emotions you can’t ignore. I use traditional mediums to stay grounded, but I push myself to explore new styles. If someone sees my work and feels understood, even for a moment, then it’s done its job.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from places that feel both whimsical and unsettling like the circus, music, and my own emotions and experiences. I’m drawn to Tim Burton’s and LAIKAs worlds and the raw, tactile nature of stop-motion animation. I love work that feels alive, slightly imperfect, and full of character. It’s that balance of beauty and unease that pushes me to create.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would ease the weight of my student loans, giving me the freedom to focus more fully on creating. I would also donate a portion to a dog rescue organization. I’ve been volunteering with dog rescues since I could talk, so supporting them means giving back to something that shaped me while building a more stable future.
