Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I enjoy and love creating layered mixed media art because it feels alive, the texture and dimensional. I combine painted mystical figures such as fairies, witches, or angels with dried flowers, botanical textures, paper & found elements to create depth & a tactile presence. Small companions beside them remind us that no one is ever truly alone. Each layer preserves a moment of nature. If my work inspires wonder, hope, memories, or creativity, it has fulfilled its purpose.

Where do you find inspiration?

Nature is one of my greatest sources of inspiration. The changing colors of the seasons, flowers and leaves found on walks, charming artisan shops in small towns I’ve visited or scenes from nature documentaries or Hallmark films often spark ideas for new compositions. These details remind me that beauty lives in quiet, simple moments. I bring that sense of harmony into my work, allowing nature to guide the atmosphere and storytelling in each piece.

What would you do with $25,000?

Winning $25k would greatly support my creative work. I would allocate the funds toward building a whimsical mobile shop to showcase my creations & provide a magical experience to places, covering fees for art fairs, purchasing materials for low, medium, & high-priced pieces to appeal to art lovers, & investing in marketing, flyers, advertising & an inviting website to reach a wider audience and inspire others to experience the magic of my work.
