Painting is how I express my emotional/spiritual self. It is really a form of self healing I guess. I love using animals to express humanity

I love doing my interpretive equine paintings on larger canvases. They are special to me. I just really do love working on large canvas, and experimenting with mixed media ideas. Using oil and acrylic, sometimes texture, markers, even pastels, can create interesting new directions.
Where do you find inspiration?A lot of my inspiration comes in dreams and meditations. Animals have always been a big part of my work. I have come to realize over the years that my dreams about horses are a message about some personal, social, or spiritual idea I need to express. To me they speak to human conditions. I also am inspired by environmental issues, and planetary needs. My feminine based paintings usually reflect Gaia as I reimagine her. I see artwork as a form of visual healing.
What would you do with $25,000?I would be inclined to donate a good part to environmental charities. I am very concerned about where our planet is headed. I also care deeply about issues surrounding womens' rights.
