My work investigates symbolic forms and shapes. I utilize Icons and nature with engaging significance through mixed media and printmaking.

I love the monoprint/monotype printmaking process and the experience of the unexpected. That freedom to investigate is so very important, to go beyond category restrictions. There are so many nuances within the monoprint form and the integration of mixed media makes it a very rich and dimensional adventure. I learn about different perspectives and problem solving. Variation is where my interests are focused. Mixed print media has always remained fresh for me and part of my philosophy.
Where do you find inspiration?I love nature, the study of plants, animals and abstracted forms in my work. Utilizing printmaking and collage as an extension of drawing and painting, I have found that the mixing of those media to be the most authentic and subjective tool to express my voice. For me Art is about persistence, a life study and discipline. It is part of my life. Let the presence of touch back into your life and embrace the new with reference to all that you have learned.
What would you do with $25,000?I would continue investigating nature along with deconstructed and abstracted form studies through monoprint and mixed media installation. Persue the development of a larger group monoprint/monotype installation project where multiple artists could collaborate on common natural world interests through print and collage. Tour the installation to different communities where it can be hosted and added to by community members. Publish a catalog of the art created and feature it online.
