My favorite type of art to create includes building with brick, concrete, drywall, wood, tiles, metal, wire, outdoor/indoor paints, pottery, dried/silk/fresh flowers, crochet, calligraphy letters, functional decor, wood shelves, photo gifts, & baked treats.
Where do you find inspiration?I found inspiration when I taught, coached, & assisted thousands of children, teens, & adults cope after past trauma, when bullied, and during their struggles. Several of my past Administrative co-workers, former UW-Concordia and UWEC professors, BDHS/BDMS Teachers and sports Coaches’ faith in my skills & knowledge inspired my art, music, lyric writing, poetry, & public speeches. I taught 34+ yrs., tutored 43+ yrs., assisted adults w/Special Needs in their CBRF & elderly in their homes 17+ yrs.
What would you do with $25,000?I’ve volunteered for the Homeless since I was 13. Any amount of $ gifted to me would allow me to volunteer like I did prior to my summer 2024 multiple work injuries. Volunteering costs me money. I’m a single, divorced mom of two. I’d also donate some of the $ to “Janie’s Fund”, “Youth Villages”, and “Friends of Abused Families”. These organizations assist individuals to thrive utilizing art, EMDR/CBT techniques, & music after their traumatic injuries that were inflicted on their bodies.
