I love to create architectural worlds using words, building spaces that can be imagined, entered, and experienced.

I create narrative architecture—the architecture of built systems expressed through language and metaphor. My work explores how power, culture, and memory are structured, translating the frameworks that shape our world into immersive, inhabitable forms. Blending writing, architectural thinking, and visual composition, I construct environments where stories function like structures and systems can be experienced as space.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in how we exist in the world and how each of us is permitted—or denied—a place within it. Growing up in the segregated South, I saw how space was controlled and assigned value—separate entrances, diminished environments, marked boundaries. I understood early that architecture is not neutral but shapes human experience. That awareness drives my work, exploring how power and memory are embedded in the built environment.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to develop a body of work that brings narrative architecture into immersive, public-facing forms. This includes creating written and visual pieces that explore the built systems shaping our world, while developing accessible ways for audiences to engage through digital platforms, exhibitions, or interactive experiences. The goal is to expand my practice beyond the page and create spaces that can be entered, questioned, and shared.
