Where do you find inspiration?I have never planned a drawing per se. I just open my drawing pad and put pencil or ink to paper. The calm I feel while drawing inspires me to begin the process over and over again. Being self-taught, when I step back and look at my completed projects, I'm a little bit stunned. Where did that come from? The final product always elicits a sense of gratitude because I'm convinced that my artwork comes from a deeper realm.
What would you do with $25,000?The cash award would only be part of the immense recognition I feel from this competition. To be recognized as an artist is huge. From a financial perspective, the cash would help me put my two daughters through college.
