I want to form curiosity when you look at my paintings and develop a story that is your own.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I believe as an artist creates-work that reflects one’s life. No matter what you do it’ll come down to that. Working with oils on canvas is my way of doing this. I enjoy many mediums, but seem to always come back back. I often enjoy eco printing as well as encaustics. Lately I have been doing pastel. 3-D art also takes a place in my heart when I create. It is important for me to showcase mother, nature, and our world and show that we are one
Where do you find inspiration?I definitely find inspiration in mother nature. I enjoy extracting plants final life into paper. It gives things a dreamy effect. Additionally, I enjoy finding inspiration from my background as an Indian woman. I try to share rural life into paintings for people to ponder the quietness of a different way of thinking.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it towards expanding my focus on community and try to put together a show that is more interactive, showing a melting of cultures and the commonality that we all have. The funds would be used towards supplies and securing a venue to do this. I believe some of this could be interactive sharing with other artists some traditional art forms that can be done by everyone during an event. It is a dream that I have had for a while.
