Kirsten Schneider

I love creating as an outlet and it keeps my mind and hands focused. I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when I finish a drawing.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love pencil sketching with graphite. I have dabbled a little with various other mediums but there is something special I get from creating with pencil. I love watching a drawing take shape and gain depth with each shade and mark.

Where do you find inspiration?

I initially would find inspiration online and following artists on YouTube. Now most of my inspiration comes from nature and from people in my life. Sometimes I am inspired by something I hear in everyday conversation or something I see while out and about.

What would you do with $25,000?

Well I would likely use it to help purchase a small, more permanent home to live in. On Thanksgiving morning of 2024 we lost everything to a tragic housefire. The only things that survived were us and our 3 dogs which I am so grateful. Unfortunately we didn't have insurance so we have struggled to rebuild our lives ever since. We were able to purchase a 5th wheel camper to live in temporarily and that was a year and a half ago. I would love to have something I could actually call home.
