What is your favorite type of art to create?

Mixed media silk. Layers of meaning expressed in layers of holographic collage, silk, wood, reflective and interference hue painting. Cymatic waves vibrate in changing colors thru transparent layers of material. I grew up in art studios, drawing, painting, printing. I fell in love w silk by accident when a class got cancelled allowing me to buy up the supplies on the cheap. When the bloomed color hit my eyes, my brain caught fire.

Where do you find inspiration?

I wanted to find the stillest place on earth. In the woods, standing on the edge of the water, I wanted to feel so quiet that I could see the ripple of a single soundwave on the water’s surface.

What would you do with $25,000?

Connect people using art through exhibition programming and events; rent, essentially on a space to do things in.
