Using Hex Mesh Wire , I create Wire Sculptures. Airy, flowing and enchanting creations, are visually stunning, which is my artistic goal.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Feathered Birds and Horses are my favorite subjects. They inspire me with their majestic Beauty, and flowing feathers, manes and tails, allow me to capture action or character in each piece. They take on "a kind of life," with the twist of a head, and flow of the wire lends to the character. I add natural elements like driftwood, moss and Crystal's, to enhance details in some pieces. Faceted Beads ,aluminum screen add additional details. I love to create dramatic large sculptures with my wire.
Where do you find inspiration?Mostly nature inspired, I keep a list of subjects I want to try, when inspiration hits. I find inspiration in female form. Dancers, Warrior women, fairies ,Angels and a lifesize Ballerina . Custom orders are fun and satisfying.I've made many pets, dogs and cats from photos..also a large German Shepherd for the local Sheriffs museum, that wears a tactical K9 Vest. Inspiration comes to me in many ways. I plan to try fantasy style subjects, and have tried abstract bead sculptures. Evolution.
What would you do with $25,000?I would improve my work shop area , and fill my supply needs. I have needed a patio cover and paint booth ,so I can continue to work in all types of weather. I also could use help in improving my social media marketing presence and skills, to reach a larger audience. Making big beautiful Art pieces ,is the dream…expanding into a larger market is needed to start doing that!
