I love creating art—it’s my language. It’s soothing, expressive, aesthetic, and lets me explore emotions and my silly, playful side.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create right now is cute greeting cards and watercolor pieces. I love making cards with sweet, loving feelings because I can share them with people I care about—they get to keep a small piece of my love. For larger, more detailed work, I enjoy watercolor. It has a gentle, flowing quality that soothes my brain and makes the process feel calm and natural.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the people around me. They make me want to create and show how much I love and appreciate them by sharing pieces of myself. Art becomes a way to communicate my emotions when words feel limited. My own feelings also inspire many of my pieces, guiding what I create and how I express it when language feels challenging.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would invest in my home property to build a more sustainable and supportive space. I hope to create affordable housing for young people like me, while also growing my own food, learning butchery, and using solar energy. It’s a big project I’ve just begun with my partner, but it feels like a meaningful and worthwhile journey.
