Art is an extension of my soul. When I paint, my inner being comes alive through color, emotion, and story.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
As an Indigenous artist, I love painting places, people, and animals I feel spiritually and culturally connected to. My art reflects emotion, memory, culture, and the relationships we hold with the natural world. Each piece carries a story and allows me to honor the beauty, strength, and spirit of the connections that shape who I am.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the people I meet, the energy and vibes around me, colors, moods, culture, and the emotions carried through everyday moments. Nature, movement, and connection all influence my work. Sometimes inspiration comes from a feeling, a memory, or a conversation that stays with me. I use art to capture those emotions and transform them into something visual, meaningful, and alive.
What would you do with $25,000?The $25,000 would help my family through a difficult time while my dad undergoes cancer treatment. As a single mom, unexpected expenses and balancing daily responsibilities can become overwhelming. This support would help ease financial stress, allow me to be more present for my dad and children, and give me the stability to continue creating art during one of the hardest seasons of my life.
