Creating & sharing art simply builds community. Those connections are necessities in my life & makes me feel whole. #esotericurbanism
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love exploring subject matter being focused around social commentary and Underground Culture. I have eclectic taste and it definitely shows up in my creativity. I bounce around with mediums and even styles but there is a consistency in my work and I call it Esoteric Urbanism. #esotericurbanism
Where do you find inspiration? The world around me sets the tone and I find that the simple things are the most inspirational, especially my interactions with people. As of lately social media has been the fuel to spark that fire, especially with mixed media collage. Since I don't collect as many magazines like I used to, I get a lot of my visual resources and ideas from listening and looking at social media as a whole. These online conversations and visuals eventually work themselves into my art. #esotericurbanism
What would you do with $25,000?Continue my artistic journey where I combine Fine Art, fashion and DJ Culture to create visual and sonic statements via my Esoteric Urbanism. $25,000 is more than enough to expand my platform that shares my creative vision and also gives back to the community. I would just continue what I've been doing but on a larger scale with an investment in safeguards to maintain ownership of my brand(s). #misogynyistherootofallevil #esotericurbanism #gatheringoftribes #korteztheartist #Nappyvandals
