I create to process life experiences and translate complex emotions into something people can see and connect with.

The art I'm most drawn to creating involves painting, collage, and photography. I'm drawn to creating visual works that feel both intimate and expansive, that reflect memory, identity, spirituality, transformation, and lived experiences all at once. I enjoy allowing an idea to determine its form, whether that becomes a painted surface or a series of photographs. I often use layering, texture, and symbolism in my work, using it as a medium for both personal meditation and a collective offering.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, music, mythology, and everyday moments that carry emotional or spiritual weight. I'm also inspired by film, poetry, archives, academic studies, and conversations with community.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would expand an interdisciplinary project through art materials, studio support, photography and video equipment, and installation production. I'd also invest in research travel and community-centered programming tied to my work. This support would allow me to take creative risks, grow a sustainable practice, and reach broader audiences with deeper impact.
