I create art to speak what I’m not always comfortable saying, to put emotions I see & feel on canvas. I want my art to make people feel.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is one that connects with people on an emotional level. While at the same time getting a point across of the importance of self expression. I love creating art that puts a twist on every subject matter in a way that makes it my own and jumps out at the observer, with colors, texture, and 3-d effects to the canvas.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration all around me, I constantly keep myself open to inspiration. It could be music, cinema, current events, dreams, or my family. I don’t like to box myself into one particular subject matter or style, because the beauty of art is the options are limitless and only held back your own imagination.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000 dollars, it would life changing to my art career. I would upgrade my studio space, give newly growing family a financial cushion, allow me to apply to large festivals and exhibits, and start planning programing for my community through the arts. To be an inspiration and example for kids that have a passion for art, to let them know there’s a way to turn that passion into a living.
