Creating art can access the primordial Unknown within. I’m fascinated by it, and want to see all the things I'm capable of conjuring forth!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Necklaces are my creative passion ~ from tribal, to beautiful and bizarre. I love working with gemstones, bones, and clay. With my sketches as well as my digital art/hand drawing fusions, I get a kick out of making characters with awkward expressions or conveying extreme emotions.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m usually inspired from Within, as I look at the world thru art-glazed eyes. If I get a crazy idea in my head, I aim to bring it into this world. All I need is something to draw on…if I see a blank napkin, paper plate, or a piece of paper laying alone and bored--that's when my eyes light up and the pen flicks out of my pocket! I save many doodles, and at times revisit them for inspiration. With my jewelry, I often start with the focal piece as inspiration and design around it.
What would you do with $25,000?With a gracious gift of $25,000, I would be able to rent studio space! You would laugh at the flustercluck of my tiny city house--my poor husband is dealing with 300 tambourine bases stacked in the basement waiting to be transformed into art, and a bedroom aka my "art room" constantly a grand mess (due to having too much inspiration) where many a project lie in wait to be completed. My motto: Too Many Ideas; Not Enough Time to Create Them All! ...But having enough space sure would help!
