I am driven to create the most beautiful things I see in the world, and it fills my soul to share it with the people who appreciate it.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I started drawing horses with a pencil when I was 3, and have widened my vision and mediums to include dogs, cats, birds, people and many different landscapes in acrylics. Lately I’ve been consumed by creating nostalgic pieces, anything that reminds me of simpler times gone by or a peaceful place I’d like to go to. I especially love capturing expressions, the light and dark contrast that I see, and vivid and bold colors.
Where do you find inspiration? One of my favorite things to do is recreate and memorialize people‘s favorite pets. The love and connection I get with other people because of the love they have for their pets is indescribable. I’m also inspired by water, sunsets and old buildings; anything that has color and depth of contrast. My biggest inspiration has been Norman Rockwell. I cherish the way he captures the feelings of each moment he paints, and I've been inspired to do the same with all my creations.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy a tiny home, put it on some land deep in the woods by a creek, make it my art studio, buy about $1000 worth of golden paints, and live happily ever after.
