I create to find harmony between the natural world and the human spirit, using art as a universal tool for healing and hope.

While I am deeply devoted to oil painting—using light and color to capture emotion—I also find joy in mixed media sculpture. My work is driven by a desire to inspire others and awaken the human spirit. I am currently bringing this to life through my art installation, 'a Fairy University,' at Magnolia Gardens (Charleston, SC) from 5/22 to 7/12/26. I believe art is a catalyst for healing, waking up the 'human within' and inspiring us to see the world through a lens of hope.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration is rooted in the natural world, but it is fueled by a constant curiosity for life—whether through literature, insightful podcasts, or the wisdom of friends. I see creativity as a vibrant thread woven through the fabric of our daily lives. I love finding those hidden connections and pulling them into my art to celebrate the beauty that touches everything we do.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put the $25,000 toward buying my first home! Winning this competition would make two childhood dreams come true at once: being recognized as a professional artist and becoming a homeowner. Having a dedicated space to create would allow me to expand my art and continue sharing the healing power of creativity with my community.
