My favorite type of art to create is fantasy illustrations that are inspired by the world around me. This is my favorite genre because it is limitless and holds no boundaries. I can blend time, locations, environments, organisms, and emotions into one concept. After I come up with a concept, I decide whether I want to paint it, draw it, or sculpt it. I find it very versatile and fun.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the world around me through books, music, nature, memories, film, fashion, design, people, places, and things. Inspiration is everywhere! A bowl of pasta could evoke memories of childhood. The time spent in the shower could inspire me to create a piece showcasing the beauty and power of a waterfall. I keep my eyes and mind open because I never know when inspiration will engage with me.
What would you do with $25,000?With earning the $25,000, I would love to start my own art business or art gallery. As an art business, I would like to sell my art as stickers, prints, clothing and more. I would love to host art classes and give lessons to the community. As an art gallery, I would love to work with artists of all skill levels and backgrounds. If someone has that passion within, it needs to be shared with the world.
