I love to create art because it helps me express myself, tell stories, connect with others, and embrace the beauty of expression.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I aspire to create works that elicit joy for myself and for others. I enjoy creating art that expresses my personality. From sculptures that embody bold colors, challenging construction, and new modes of interpretation; to paintings that span over multiple genres of art including: Realism, Abstraction, Impressionism, and the Avant-garde. Overall, across all mediums, I gravitate towards experimentation with color, texture, medium and subject matter.
Where do you find inspiration? When I am motivated to create an artwork, I typically look towards: animals, plants, cultures, friends, family and more. I also admire how objects are constructed therefore, I research the artisanal trades, as well as how my art can be made with tools, hardware, and machines. For example I study woodworking, metallurgy, bronzecasting and more. Recently, I have been exploring how to work with the bamboo in my grandparents backyard.
What would you do with $25,000?I would reinvest in my home studio and buy new supplies, equipment and materials, allowing me the inspiration to frame new ideas and create.I would also love to travel to visit the places that showcase my favorite artworks to gain inspiration and study the masters.
