I love to use art as a form of noticing the world around myself, especially some of the more obscure or absurd parts of my life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I jump around between media, although I have been painting in oil a lot recently. I like creating art that allows me to mess around with layering and expressive palettes.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through my surroundings whether that is people, the environment, or an event. What stands out are moments that feel strangely impactful even if other people find it mundane otherwise.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use those funds to pay for the rest of my expenses (rent, tuition, etc.), as I am reaching my fourth year at UC San Diego. That way, I can focus on honing my craft and preparing for life after graduation. Whatever is left over will provide support between jobs.
