Creating art is a way for me to spread positivity and love, and connect with other beings. Making art both calms me and excites me!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
It just depends. Lately I've been making peace flags. One design a month based loosely on what I'm up to in that lunar cycle. A series of 13. You'll be able to hang them all side by side, and see a collage of the 2026 year out of my mind. I also very much like making moving sculptures out of toilet paper spools and paperclips. I'm working on a sea turtle swimming. Also, painting eggs is super fun!! They each become their own little entity. I make my living, making tattoos everyday. I love it!
Where do you find inspiration?Nature, world events, people's weirdness, stars, the moon! Friend's happenings, trees, eyes, birds, bugs, whales, the OCEAN, music, other art and artists, shells, Venerable Monks walking for Peace, Aloka, Aloha, Kahola, cats, smiles, grief, joy, dogs, the sky, water, flowers, family, love, nature. You know when you get all tingley because your soul has been touched?...THAT!
What would you do with $25,000?Pay off some debt. Do art. Provide some art supplies and art instruction within my community. Make art. Bring drum circle instructor extrodinare, John Makings to a Madison Kansas community event. Eat some delicious foods. Travel.
