Laura T. Martin

This stained glass piece, Pansies and Daisies”, is based on an embroidery pattern drawn by my grandmother, Willie Jane. Love the connection.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I work with stained glass using the Tiffany method of copper foil and solder. With Stained glass, I get to play with color, light, and texture.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in church, nature, animals, water, the color of the trees in autumn, my family.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would build a real studio dedicated to my stained glass with plenty of room to cut, break, grind, and solder.
