I paint to be messy in an orderly world, creating playful expressionist work inspired by the beauty and humor of everyday life.

I love to paint using bright colors, building layers, texture, and dimension. I’m drawn to nature—plants, animals, people—and their stories. Painting has become a way for me to listen to and trust myself. Sometimes I begin with no expectations and let creativity unfold. At other times, inspiration arrives and asks to be captured—like the caterpillar, cocoon, and butterfly that appeared on my doorstep. Creating is deeply healing, and painting is how I make sense of the world around and within me.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the everyday. Whether it is the simplistic natural beauty around me or I am inspired to look to painting to process emotions. Inspiration is around me and in me if I only look and listen :)
What would you do with $25,000?I am mostly self-taught. I am also a single mom, and spending money on myself or my art can feel frivolous at times. $25,000 would mean art education to better my skills. It would allow me to build a website to market my work. It would provide me with funds to equip my studio/garage creative space with art supplies. It would be a dream really to set in motion
