I love creating art and showing the world a different perspective on life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating art that makes the viewer think about what they are truly looking at. I love making ceramic and metal work to show duality of longevity. How one thing can be so fragile yet paired with metal can make something stronger. The complex structure of both is so fun to experiment with. I love making art that makes you think about other perspectives and warps how you think. I love making art that tells a story or something to keep you guessing.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in how animals and humans are more alike than we think. Messing with the hierarchy of the food chain to show how humans are related to more animals biologically and metaphorically. To show how warped are perspectives are and to understand that we aren’t all that special after all. The only differences are that we can use our voices and create awareness for other life. Even though we choose to ignore everything else in the world.
What would you do with $25,000?I would love to start my own ceramics studio and integrate metal sculptural work together. I believe we need more artists in the world to share stories and experiences. I love to create and get my hands dirty. I believe everyone should be able to express themselves and learn a new skill. I would also donate some to the boys n girls club if america where they can get resources they need for schools and art supplies. Sad some places don’t have extra classes like art for kids.
