I use art as a way to show gratitude for the people I’ve loved, to capture moments and emotions that are hard to put into words.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art style is realistic pencil art. I’ve always loved how just a simple pencil can turn into something so detailed and real. It’s kinda crazy how you can make something look alive just by shading and taking your time with it. I like focusing on the little details and just getting lost in it—it helps me slow down and clear my mind.
Where do you find inspiration?I find a lot of my inspiration in the people around me and how much I love them. I’ve always been someone who notices the little things in people, the small details in their faces, their features, the way they look when they’re just being themselves. That’s what I try to capture in my art. It’s more than just drawing what someone looks like, it’s about showing how I see them and what they mean to me.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I’d put it toward a new car. I’ve been needing something more reliable, and it would honestly help me a lot day to day. I’d also want something with enough space so I can bring my art with me—my supplies, sketchbooks, everything. I love the idea of being able to go somewhere new and just create, so having a car that lets me take my creativity wherever I go would mean a lot.
