I Create Art for the Joy of It…Creating Art Keeps Me Sane!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Is it safe to say I have several "favorite" forms of art I love creating? I hope so, because this is the case with ME! I LOVE creating wall art, art dolls, needle crafted art, clay sculptures, rock painting, etc. I love line, form, and Color, yes! If I Had to name, let’s say 3 types of art I enjoy creating, it would be that involving Drawing, Painting, And Sewing all in one! Examples: Art Dolls, Hand-stitched Bags, (even Copper wire jewelry). People always ask me, "Where do you find the time"?!!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration for my artistic endeavors mostly from my imagination. It’s called "Stream of Consciousness" creating. Taking Hannah Bunzey’s class “Introduction to Prismacolor Markers” clarified and gave definition to what I was feeling inside. I have looked at, let’s say a pretty flower, and images in my mind may be spurred on from said flower. I will use reference images when I want to draw something from real life, like the positioning of the fingers and hands when performing an action.
What would you do with $25,000?I would travel to Egypt and climb whatever pyramid(s) I could myself, then create some fantastic art from those experiences! I would visit Bali and India for their spiritual appeal. I would then turn my entire attic into a studio and install lots of windows, working in natural lighting. I would then, with whatever money was left, buy all kinds of art supplies & tools (like the entire line of Copic alcohol markers I’m into right now) to finish fleshing out my dream studio, if you will indulge me…
