I like to paint. I typically use oil paints I also screen print. Most of it is very bright colored but the subject matter can range from being cartoonish to more realistic. Lots of dark humor. Somewhere between a child’s lense and a darker world? Recently I’ve started designing art figures and toys.
Where do you find inspiration?old rockers, punks, bikers, skaters and a lot of outlier counter culture people in my life growing up have heavily influenced my visual interests. a lot of my work is inspired by 90’s punk rock gig poster art. I pull inspiration from everything around me. Old signs, people on the street, cartoons, comics. Everything visually appealing to me is absorbed and regurgitated in a twisted way.
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay my rent. I would use the money to invest in projects that I’ve always wanted to make but haven’t had the funds for such as my latest interest in vinyl figures I’ve wanted to create as well as larger pieces. Maybe even be able to rent a studio space so I could work on a larger messier scale without having to worry about ruining my living room or having my cat walk across a table full of paint.
