My name is Leah Platz and I like creating art and capturing art because I want to keep it alive
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is photography. I enjoy photography because it allows me to capture meaningful moments, emotions, and beautiful scenery in a creative way. I like how a single photograph can tell a story or preserve a memory that can last forever. Photography also gives me the opportunity to express myself through different angles, lighting, and editing styles. Whether I am taking pictures of nature, people, or everyday life, I find it relaxing and rewarding to capture beauty
Where do you find inspiration?Nature, sunsets, city lights, and even simple moments with friends and family can inspire me to take pictures. I also enjoy looking at other photographers' work on social media and in magazines because it gives me new ideas for angles, lighting, and editing styles. Sometimes inspiration comes from emotions or special memories that I want to capture and keep forever. I like how photography allows me to see beauty in places and moments that most people might normally overlook.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would use the money to invest in my future and rebuild after losing my camera during Hurricane Helene. Losing my camera was difficult, so replacing it would help me get back to doing what I love. I would also put some of the money toward getting a reliable new car for transportation and photography opportunities. Finally, I would use part of the money to start my photography career. This money would help me turn my passion into a long-term career.
