My favorite types of art following a category is drawing, painting and poetry. On dark days it becomes a form of therapy and on bright days it becomes a reflection of life. Enjoying the freedom of creation and imagination. Submersing oneself into tools and instruments to bring what was merely a thought, alive. Perhaps my favorite is entirely art in itself.

My muse changes with the seasons, flows swiftly, slowly, sometimes seldomly. The belief that I must leave pretty things behind along my journey because my feet tend to stain. The need to document time in strokes of paint or pencil lines. Just the act of giving someone what was once an extension of my being. And to see the joy it may bring. To see the emotions and feelings brought forth.

I would use it for basic necessities and to travel. Seeing details in tropical lenses that a picture never seems to capture. To feel different wind blowing by. To witness art in real life and no longer wonder behind a screen. If this award allows the capacity to fly then I’m soaring high.
