I love to dabble in multiple mediums because I believe art is a language, and like any language, it has many tones, dialects, and ways of being understood. Some ideas don’t fully come alive in just one form, so I enjoy moving between paint, drawing, collage, sculpture, and even digital tools the way some people might switch between words, gestures, and expressions when trying to communicate something complex. Each medium offers its own voice.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration is something that usually tends to be unexpected and sometimes it’s so strong that it keeps me up at night.
What would you do with $25,000?I would love to build momentum in my art career while also raising awareness for art as a legitimate profession. In addition, I hope to use my work to advocate for mental health and create space for conversation around mental illness through my work.
